19th Century American Silhouette of a Child

Aprroximately 4" x 3" (sight), this delightful child silhouette with original frame and eglomise mat, although unsigned, exhibits the hallmarks of the New Hampshire silhouettist William Chamberlain. There are two professionally mended small tears in the paper, and it has been backed with archival fabric behind the original black cloth.
