This fabulous example of the tramp art genre, which is illustrated in the Wallach and Cornish book "Tramp Art, One Notch at a Time" (Wallach-Irons  1998), measures 31" x 15" x 35 1/4". The case is chip carved on all sides, fitted with two plain drawers and two cabinet doors that open to a painted interior fitted with ceramic lamp sockets and insulated wire (no longer functional), and a carved handhold on each side. The entire case stands on 4 turned feet.
