Giant 20" Advertising Shoe Last

This giant shoe last bears the inscription  "Harry Glossberg, special" on the top (see detail). A census search found Mr. Glossberg (b. 1887) in the 1930 Boston census listed as a shoe merchant. This piece may have been one of two for a very special...and very large...client, or...more likely...an advertising piece.
